Talk Through Your Experience With A Professional

  • Feel heard and understood.

  • Gain strategies to navigate life’s struggles with confidence.

  • Learn how to calm your mind and move forward.

  • Look forward to rather than dread your future.

I see therapy as a space where people can feel understood, respected, and accepted without needing to filter or hide parts of themselves. Creating that kind of environment is central to my work. I approach each relationship with curiosity, care, and a belief that meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be honest. Rather than trying to “fix” problems, I focus on building a collaborative connection where we can explore your experiences together, deepen your self-awareness, and identify the strengths you already carry. From there, we work toward the changes that matter most to you.

I understand growth as something that develops gradually, often through quiet moments of reflection or small steps forward. It might look like gaining a new perspective, finding your voice in a tough situation, or learning how to sit with emotions that once felt overwhelming. Whatever brings you to therapy—whether it’s questions about identity, past experiences, relationship challenges, or a general sense of feeling stuck—I aim to support you in building clarity, resilience, and self-trust. My hope is that you leave not only with insight, but with practical tools and a stronger sense of confidence to navigate your day-to-day life.

Approach to Counselling

I listen and work to create a non-judgmental space where you can share your story openly and at your own pace. I view therapy as a collaborative process—one where we work together to build a deeper understanding of your experiences. I help you recognizing the strengths that already exist within you and in the world around you. I believe emotions carry important messages, and part of our work may involve learning how to listen to those emotions with curiosity and care, rather than feeling overwhelmed by them.

In my practice, I draw from a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, somatic techniques, and motivational interviewing. These frameworks allow me to tailor our work to your unique needs, supporting both practical change and a greater sense of inner balance. At the heart of my approach are the values of respect, relationality, social justice, and creativity. I honour each person’s inherent dignity, experiences, and insights, while recognizing the impact of relationships and broader social contexts on well-being. I also believe in the healing power of creativity—as a form of expression, freedom, and problem-solving—and I welcome approaches that reflect who you are.

In session, I tend to bring a calm, thoughtful, and curious presence. As someone who values listening deeply, I may ask questions to better understand your perspective, your emotions, and the factors that shape your experience. My goal is to ensure you feel centered and understood, so that we can work together in a way that feels meaningful and supportive. I approach each person with the belief that they have the capacity to navigate challenges and create change, and I aim to highlight and build on those strengths. When it feels appropriate, I also bring in humour—recognizing that even in difficult moments, laughter can be a source of relief, connection, and healing.

A Specialization in Transitional Change

Periods of transition can feel disorienting, even when they are expected or chosen. Whether you’re navigating a shift in identity, relationships, career, or life stage, these moments often bring a mix of uncertainty, loss, possibility, and growth. I specialize in supporting individuals through these in-between spaces—times when what once felt familiar no longer fits, and the path forward may feel unclear.

In our work together, I offer a steady, supportive environment where you can explore what this transition means for you. We’ll make space for the full range of your experience, while also helping you reconnect with your sense of direction and self-trust. My approach is collaborative and grounded in curiosity, allowing us to move at a pace that feels right for you. The goal is not just to get through the transition, but to emerge from it with greater clarity, resilience, and a deeper understanding of yourself.
