  • Do you feel stuck, like you're going through the motions but not really living?

  • Do you find yourself smiling on the outside while feeling numb, irritable, or exhausted on the inside?

  • Do you feel disconnected from your partner, like you're speaking different languages when it comes to communication or trust?

  • Are you going through a life transition — a move, a new stage of life, a shift in relationships — and struggling to find your footing?

If any of this resonates with you, I want you to know you don't have to navigate it alone. We can work together to:

  • Learn how to untangle difficult emotions and thoughts in a way that feels authentic and manageable for you

  • Develop tools to recognize fear-rooted thinking and replace it with more realistic, self-compassionate perspectives

  • Build greater emotional awareness and healthier ways to move through life's stressors

  • Restore trust and deepen emotional connection in your relationship.

APPROACH TO COUNSELLING

I bring a calm, non-judgmental, person-centered approach to therapy. I believe that healing starts with human connection and feeling safe, and that every person comes to our work together with their own unique strengths, personality, and interests. I relate to clients through active listening, empathy, and reflecting emotions, working from an understanding that you are the expert of your own life and deserve to be heard in a space that is genuine and empathic.

My growing theoretical orientation draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Somatic-Based Therapy. This means we'll explore the relationship between your thoughts and behaviours, collaboratively create and work toward your goals, and pay attention to the connection between mind and body along the way.

I show up curious, patient, creative, calm, and attentive — traits that allow me to hold space for silence, tension, and high emotions without rushing you through them. I believe patience is essential for building trust and uncovering thoughts or feelings that take time to surface, and I bring creativity and attention to body language to help bridge the verbal and nonverbal, using tools like art when words alone are hard to find.

I utilize transparency, kindness, and a bit of humour when connecting with clients, because I believe trust and connection are the foundation of effective therapy — with you setting the pace. Above all, I want you to feel safe enough to explore what's difficult, because that safety is where real growth begins.

SPECIALTIES

Depression

If you're feeling persistent sadness or a loss of interest in the things you used to enjoy, you might be struggling with depression. It can become exhausting to hide sadness, numbness, or irritability under a smile. If you're struggling to find the light at the end of the tunnel, you are not alone. Together, we can untangle the emotions and thoughts you're dealing with in a way that feels authentic and manageable for you, fostering a stronger sense of self and resiliency.

Anxiety & Stress

If you're feeling detached from yourself or physically and mentally fatigued, you might be struggling with stress and anxiety. While anxiety plays an important role in keeping us safe, it can sometimes overstay its welcome — causing persistent worry, sleep disturbances, and social withdrawal. When anxiety and stress become excessive, they can interfere with your day-to-day life, relationships, and work.

Anxiety and stress do not have to control your life. In our sessions, you'll be met with compassion, warmth, and support. Together, we can explore the stressors behind your anxiety in a way that feels safe for you. Through cognitive restructuring, we'll recognize fear-rooted thoughts and replace them with more realistic ones, fostering self-compassion, greater emotional awareness, and healthy resilience.

Couples

If you're feeling disconnected from your partner or misunderstood, you might be struggling with communication, trust issues, or conflict in your relationship. It takes courage to ask for help with your relationship. Whether you're navigating communication, compatibility, or rebuilding trust, you don't have to figure it out alone. Together, we can work toward restoring trust, developing effective communication, and fostering deeper emotional connection and understanding between you and your partner.

Weeds are flowers too, once you get to know them.
